Take a Child Outside Week 2012
What can improve your child’s grades, improve their health and improve their attitude? Going outside! In an effort to help encourage adults to take kids outside, the NC Museum of Natural Sciences has organized Take A Child Outside week for September 24-30. The idea is to help youngsters experience nature, whether they’re learning from a local expert or playing on their own.
To help make this happen, you can find a map of organized outdoor experiences. For any of you who are more independently minded or if there isn’t a convenient event, you can find activity ideas, and we’d like to hear about what you do outside. Please create an account and post information about your outings.
There’s also a PDF flyer you can print to help spread the word about Take a Child Outside week.
It’s time to go outside!
